Suspension Trainer Scoring Matrix

10 products, 34 criteria, 340 individual marks. Nothing is summarised away. A cross means the maker does not publish the fact, not that the product is bad.

What this set is weighted for

The reader we scored for wants one system that trains the whole body, packs into a bag, and hangs off whatever is available at home, in a hotel or in a park. That choice is the single biggest driver of this board and it is stated rather than hidden. It is why portability carries six criteria, why pack size is scored twice, and why load ratings stop earning marks at 400 lb instead of rewarding a 700 lb webbing figure on a product holding one person.

A different reader gets a different board. Score for kit completeness, comfort under load and after-sales support and the TRX PRO4 and the Human Trainer finish on top, because they ship door anchors and padded foot cradles, publish warranties and carry thousands of public reviews. Both readings are in the table above.

Conservative marking. Anything a manufacturer did not state in August 2026 is scored as a cross, not assumed. That cuts against every product here at least once, the Kensui entry included: it publishes no warranty length, ships no door anchor or foot cradles, and gives its load figure as a component test rather than a rated user weight.

Price is two criteria, not a sliding scale. Under $100 and under $60. Awarding a mark at every $50 band would have handed the cheapest product a three-mark head start on price alone.

Corrections made while building this

The winner's rating is 4.68, not 4.9. An early pass took the "4.9★ Average Rating" figure printed on the NANOBARS V2 page as the product's score. It is not. It sits in a brand-wide trust band alongside "200K+ Happy Athletes" and "50+ Countries" and describes the whole shop. The product's own Judge.me badge reads 4.68 across 69 reviews, written throughout as 4.6 because this guide never rounds a rating up. It still clears the 4.5 threshold, so no mark changed.

The winner's handles are not aluminium. kensui.com describes "Aluminum handles" in its page description. The brand's own Amazon listing for the same product gives the material as "Nylon Fiberglass, Nylon Straps" with a metal cam buckle, and the close-up product photograph shows a moulded diamond texture rather than cut knurling. Scored as a composite handle, so the metal-handle and cut-knurl marks both go against it.

Its own load figure is inconsistent. The NANOBARS V2 page states the cam buckle was "tested to hold up to 600lbs" in its feature block and "we have tested it for over 550lbs" in its FAQ, on the same page. Both figures are component tests, not rated user weights, and the criterion distinguishing the two is scored against it.

TRX is not sold out. An early pass read the TRX comparison page as showing the PRO4 and HOME2 out of stock. The store's own product data shows both available, and they are ranked as in stock.

Kensui's own comparison chart is out of date. The NANOBARS V2 page compares itself to the "TRX HOME 2" at $229 and the "Pocket Monkii 2" at $95. TRX lists the HOME2 at $239.95, and the Pocket monkii 2 cannot be bought at any price.

What we cut, and why

No verifiable US list price: the TRX All-In-One, which is the number three best seller in Amazon's suspension trainer category at 4.8 stars from 7,303 ratings and is sold by TRX itself, but does not appear on trxtraining.com and has no first-party US price we could check. Same for TRX GO and the TRX Pro3, both Amazon best sellers that TRX no longer lists on its own store.

Out of business: WOSS, whose AttackTether and Titan trainers are still recommended across the review web. wossfit.com does not resolve at all.

Discontinued but ranked anyway: monkii bars 2, because readers still cross-shop it constantly. monkii.co now redirects to wildgym.com, the company sells rucking gear, and every monkii product URL including the Pocket monkii 2 returns a 404. It is scored zero of five on buyability.

Sold out at the maker: the TRX Elite System and the NOSSK CYCLONE and HOME trainers.

Not a suspension trainer: gymnastic rings, wall and ceiling mount brackets, endless rope trainers and shoulder pulleys all appear in the same Amazon category and are a different product.

Prices are US list or current sale, captured 12 August 2026. The aeroSling ELITE is priced in euros and ships from Germany, so US buyers pay import duty on top. Product names, images and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
