Every criterion, every product, every mark. Nothing is summarized away. Scroll sideways for the rest of the field. The criterion column and the totals stay pinned.

Totals, group subtotals and tier letters are computed from the marks in this table. They are not typed in separately, so the table cannot disagree with itself. Turn a category off with the buttons above and every total, tier and rank recalculates against the remaining criteria. Tiers are graded against the top score. Researched August 2026.

How the Scoring Works

Each product is checked against 41 binary criteria in six groups. It either meets one or it does not. There is no weighting, no partial credit and no score adjusted after the fact to make a ranking come out a particular way.

A criterion we could not confirm on the manufacturer's own page is marked as not met. That is deliberate and it is harsh on purpose: a specification a brand does not publish is a specification a buyer cannot rely on. It is why TopSpin360 and the AXIS Cervical Device sit at the bottom despite being serious pieces of equipment. Neither publishes a price, and AXIS publishes very little a buyer can check.

1 criterion

Format

Can you train with it the day it arrives, or does it need parts sold separately?

10 criteria

Resistance

What loads it, and how far can it go? Plates, bands, cables, hanging weight, and whether the load is quantified in pounds so overload can be tracked.

11 criteria

Movement

What can it actually train? Flexion, extension, lateral flexion, resisted rotation, isometrics, deep cervical flexors, and tension through the full range.

6 criteria

Support & Fit

How does it sit on the head? Adjustable fit, chin strap, hands-free use, gravity-reduced support, replaceable pads.

4 criteria

Setup

What does it need from the room around it? Door anchor, wall mount, portability, home-gym suitability.

9 criteria

Price & Support

What happens after the money leaves your account? Price bands, warranty, trial window, programming, rehab positioning, review volume, retail availability.

Tier bands

Tiers are graded against the highest score in the field, not against 41, because no neck trainer on the market meets every criterion. The top score here is 33. S is 92 percent of that top score and above, A is 85 percent, B is 78 percent, C is 70 percent, D is 60 percent, E is 45 percent, and F is anything below. Switch a category off and the bands recompute against whatever the new top score turns out to be.

Checking the Result

Three things are worth checking yourself before you trust any ranking, including this one:

Products and Sources

Every product in the matrix, with the page each spec and price was read from. Confidence reflects how much of the scoring came from published manufacturer detail rather than inference. This table is rendered from the same data object as the matrix above, so it cannot drift from it.

ProductPriceTypeSourceConfidence

Prices are US list or current sale as shown on manufacturer sites in August 2026. Currency conversions are approximate. Product names and specifications belong to their respective manufacturers.

The Product That Scored Highest

33 of 41 criteria. Four clear of second place, at less than a third of its price.
